Do You Think David Beckham Made The Right Choice By Moving To La Galaxy?

I’ll tell you something, I know what he was trying to do. Back in Pele’s time, he played pro in America for a few years because he wanted to show football to America, as they lacked knowledge of this beutiful sport. He introduced REAL football to them and made it more popular in America. Mr. Beckham here tried to copycat that and guess what? It did not work. He should have stayed in Real Madrid and continued being an all star.

The only thing I'm not happy about him coming to America is that anyone who does not know anything about the sport thinks hes some football with amazing skill, the best in the world of God. I think he's in the past his best now, and if someone who actually saw the sport would see that he is not the best, and never was. It's all how the media portrays him.

the only reson he went to the U.S. is because he played too old and too slow to enter the top leagues in Europe anymore. . . . . and if a club in the top leagues have tried to preserve it, they would be wasted money. . . as the Americans do not.

Due to its popularity here in America, even before he decided to take on the MLS is a good idea for Beckham and soccer in America. This is so because they need a kick soccer in this country.

and she gave him a lot of money, such as one hundred million U.S. dollars, and he is getting old and he can not keep up because they would be a star and the team to kick him so he used the oppurtunity and got the money and went ta team that needs him .

Now I would like the fact that I can play it live here because I football (soccer) and the great players who love playing the sport, and he is one of the best today. However, I agree that he would stay at Real Madrid, because in the MLS season, his team is not the best from their side. I mean not even the LA Galaxy make the play-offs! He is a good man and very handsome and I wish the best for him, and I will support his every decision.

He did well would like Galaxy Angel, has two players who could still for most big clubs in the world to launch MLS

No. . . I think he did it because hes already played in England and Spain, possibly the two best leagues apart from Italy. . .
He said he doesn't want to play in Italy and he has a lot of freinds in L. A, his wife wanted to move there, move better for his children and his career was over
FINALLY, he wanted a BIGGER SUPERSTAR a world ICON

It is a new challenge.
LA is a great city for the exposure
Good busines for Posh
Can continue to play a few more years
Good money and greater market modeling
He still left to national service is called,
Its probably easier for him to stay in public
The average American has no idea who are his children
Yes, I think it was a good choice.

Soccccaarrrr say where all the freaks, football or footie or something to stand one foot. I think Becks was the media's attention and his wife. He should go to England and stayed.

I think he has the right financial choice. Given when he moved Posh, it was not really bringing in any income, he was the only vendor, and he was not picked for Real Madrid. He can go to America to promote football and make it one of the most popular sports in the U.S., but him alone wan't to do that. As you could tell even the best football player ever not do it, when Pele played there. Now, the Spice Girls comeback tour, there are millions of Victoria I think he should be back to Europe for the benefit of his career because Let's face it, he earns enough to earn money, anyway.

his time had passed and he knew it. if he stayed in Europe, he wouldnt be so much money, fame and attention is still traveling in the USA. he hasn't soccer in the U.S. affected at all. He is just a name. . . not a quality player.

On what grounds can say that Becks' debut season in LA "not working"? If his goal was to professional football and more popular – and this is true – then he has so far been successful. For the year 2007 was the attendance league for the first time ever over the previous year, and not decrease during the season. Both can be attributed to his arrival in the middle of the season. MLS Attendance is now on a par with the Eredivisie and SPL, and is approaching the in Serie A.
While growth is slow, but it's still growth, and Beckham is clearly a part of it. But, if at all preferable to slow growth on striking admissions that after a relatively short period, as is the case with the date of the NASL's Pele. In addition, Beckham has been dogged by injuries and almost in half of the season, he played here, but still sold tickets and merchandise. And beyond the LA Galaxy have been mediocre at best in 2007. With a healthy start to next season, and a much better team next year can be the Beckham effect and the resultant growth is only expected to continue.
Low attendance is also be considered in view of the wide range of sports and entertainment facilities in the United States into consideration. So soccer in the U.S. has not only overcome the problem of alienation, there has considerable wohlverschanzten competition for fans. At various points in the MLS season, is competing with all the major professional leagues (MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL) as well as their college counterparts (such as the MLS season begins in the middle of the NCAA March Madness!). This kind of competition simply do not exist in most other countries where soccer is the dominant spectator sport.
In addition, Beckham has the international profile of MLS has been significantly strengthened. I doubt that many Europeans know anything about the MLS, it would not for his presence. The Galaxy recent Australian tour was a great success, with unprecedented crowds down under for two friendly matches.
Furthermore, I am sure it was a good decision on a personal level for Beckham and his family.
